Hi, we are Hannah and Sophie, and if you are reading this, you are probably tired of fashion advice that only works in a perfect light.

We are the people behind Luwera, a women’s fashion blog for real life. Not the version of life you post once. The version where a meeting runs long, a flight gets delayed, your body changes, or your calendar surprises you on a Thursday.

How Luwera started (the honest version)

This did not start as a "brand vision." It started as two people venting a little, then a lot, about the gap between a pretty image and a wearable week.

Hannah came from the office side, Seattle, years of being the person who had to make "business casual" mean something in rooms that were too cold, too hot, or too last minute. She kept saving outfit ideas, then returning to a closet that had to work on Tuesday at 2 p.m., not only on a mood board.

Sophie came from the coaching side, Boston, walking women through the moments when clothes feel small until they suddenly feel huge: a first interview, a new job, a date that matters, a season of pregnancy, a "what do I even wear to this" text from a client at 7 a.m. She wanted language that was kind and practical, not a runway lecture.

We kept having the same conversation. People do not need more photos. They need a friend who can say, here is how this look behaves in a normal day, here is when it fails, here is the cheat code. Luwera is our attempt to write that down in public.

Why you will see Pinterest in our posts

We are not ashamed of Pinterest, we use it constantly. It is a giant, messy, wonderful inspiration engine. It is also easy to drown in. Our job is curation, not more noise.

When a pin shows up in an article on Luwera, it is not there because it is pretty. It is there because it survived a second question: Does this make sense in a life that has a schedule, a budget, a dress code, or a little fear in the back of the mind? If the answer is no, it does not make the cut.

We pair those visuals with the kind of context Pinterest alone cannot give: how an outfit holds up, what to do when a trend does not flatter you, and how to build looks from pieces you can actually find, afford, and rewear. If that sounds like a lot of work behind the scenes, good. It is. We do it on purpose.

What you will find here

We are building Luwera with two voices on purpose, because life is not one category.

Work, everyday, travel, and practical hair lean toward Hannah’s lane: the calendar reality of getting dressed, then moving all day. Special occasions, big transitions, pregnancy, college-to-career, and the moments that make your stomach flip lean toward Sophie’s lane: the human story behind the mirror.

We are not a designer-brand review site. We are not here to make you feel behind. We are here to make you feel ready, in the honest, ordinary sense of the word. If a post on Luwera helps you walk into a day with a little more calm in your body, that is the whole point.

Meet us

Hannah Reed, lead author

Hannah writes the work and everyday side of the site. She is a former office manager turned fashion writer, based in Seattle, and she is allergic to advice that only works for a still photo. Read her longer story and posts here: Hannah’s author page.

Sophie Grant, contributing author

Sophie writes the life-transition side of the site, special occasions, pregnancy, career milestones, and the outfits that have to work when your emotions are loud. She is a career coach and style writer in Boston. Read more on her author page.

Thank you for being here. If you ever read something that feels like it was written for a human week, not a perfect feed, we did our job that day.

With love, and a very full save folder,

Hannah and Sophie
